When I was a child we lived in a wonderful old farm house in Maine. The heat from the wood furnace in the basement scarcely reached my second floor bedroom on the north end of the house. There, in my chilly room, I enjoyed watching frost crystals form on the single-pane windows, so intricate and so beautiful!The sun's rays would reflect off each tiny, unique ice crystal and they just seemed to glow. Just as each ice crystal is its own unique form, each hat I have knit is a unique design.
