Loons on the Lake

Inspiration
Loons can be found all over America, but here in Maine they are very plentiful because of the abundance of rivers, lakes and streams.I remember fondly a time in our family's life, when we vacationed at Uncle Bert's camp on Boyd Lake. When we went out in the canoe, we could see mother loons with hatchlings on their backs. We were always lulled to sleep at night to the ghostly sounds of the loons on the peaceful lake, (that is, if we stayed inside away from the mosquitoes. That's a "whole 'nother" design to consider!)
